Canadian roots-rock powerhouse captures the energy of the stage on new live release
Canadian roots-rock band The Commoners are heading back to the UK and Europe this May, armed with a brand-new live album and ready to make 2025 their biggest year yet.
Following the momentum of their acclaimed albums Find A Better Way and Restless, the Toronto-based five-piece will release The Commoners: Live In The UK on May 16th via Gypsy Soul Records — a nine-track album recorded during their 2024 UK tour.
Fans can pre-order the album on CD and vinyl now and pre-save it digitally.
Capturing the Fire of the Stage
“The UK has become a second home for us,” says bassist Ben Spiller. “Every time we head back, things get bigger and better.”
Recorded during a run of shows supporting The Sheepdogs, the album captures the Commoners at full power — stretching out beloved songs with extended solos, fresh arrangements, and the kind of energy that only comes from a band at the height of their touring prowess.
Mixed and mastered by guitarist Ross Hayes Citrullo at RHC Music in Toronto, Live In The UK offers a raw, electrifying snapshot of the band’s dynamic live sound.
“It’s the true Commoners live show experience,” says Citrullo. “Loose, heavy, and full of energy. You can feel the electricity in the room.”

Extensive EU/UK Tour in 2025
To celebrate the release, The Commoners will hit the road for a five-week tour across Germany, the Netherlands, France, England, and Sweden, bringing their high-octane performances back to UK audiences.
