Philip Sayce has announced his new live album, Scorched Earth: Volume 2 Live in LA / London.
Recorded during sold-out shows at The Baked Potato in Los Angeles and an over-capacity performance at The Garage in London, the album captures Sayce and his band at full intensity. The digital release is available to pre-save now.
To mark the announcement, Sayce has released the live single “Morning Star,” following the earlier release of “Peace Machine (Live).” Both tracks preview the energy and improvisation that define the full album.
The record features Sayce alongside Sam Bolle on bass and Bryan Head on drums. Together, they move between blues grit, psychedelic soul and high-volume rock. Standout moments include live versions of “Once,” “Bitter Monday” and a bold take on “Spanish Castle Magic” by Jimi Hendrix.
Mixing was handled by GRAMMY Award-winning engineer Mark Rains, with mastering by GRAMMY-nominated engineer Brian Lucey.
