This is the third year the competition has been held, with the Canadian Province of New Brunswick looking to the UK to provide new performers for its world-renowned Harvest Jazz and Blues Festival. The winning act from the final will be taken on an all-expenses paid trip to the beautiful maritime province of New Brunswick to perform on one of the main stages at the Harvest Jazz and Blues Festival in the province’s capital of Fredericton in September 2013. They will also get the chance to experience some of the world’s best whale watching, sea kayaking, breath-taking scenery and very importantly – real New Brunswick hospitality.

Says competition organiser, Lee George, “We’re coming to the end of what’s been a fantastic competition and this year the talent has been outstanding. The winning act will find that travelling to New Brunswick will be a fabulous experience – performing on a world stage and sampling all ‘the jewel of Atlantic Canada’ has to offer.”

The first act of the final takes to the stage at 8pm and tickets are £7 in advance. Tickets are available from www.ticketweb.co.uk and all proceeds of the evening will go to our chosen charity for this year – Youth Music.
