The track addresses themes of inner fulfillment versus external validation, drawing inspiration from a quote by blues legend Albert King. Sayce explains, “The title of this song draws inspiration from an Albert King quote. It addresses the toxic obsession with material wealth and the relentless pursuit of external validation, often at the expense of one’s intuition and inner truth.”

Philip Sayce’s journey to becoming a blues-rock powerhouse started early. Raised in Toronto, Sayce was deeply inspired by iconic guitarists like Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan, and his hometown hero, Jeff Healey. After Healey spotted him playing in Toronto, Sayce quickly joined Healey’s band, setting the stage for a lifelong career in music.
