Over three decades ago the small Lancashire mill town of Colne hosted its first International Blues Festival. Countless awards and 100’s of thousands of ticket sales later, now in 2022 and there is a buzz in the air, because it’s back! The Festival will now be adding a few more cherries to the Blues Cake incorporating a little bit of Folk, Roots and Rock into the mixture.

The line-up for the Great British Rhythm & Blues Festival 2022 brings together heritage performers from as far back as the 1950’s up to ground-breaking, young New Blues artists from the present day.The Colne Muni and Pendle Hippodrome alone will be hosting over 50 bands and artists, not counting The Little Theatre and all the fringe venues.

Festival Programmer Peter Barton is excited at the prospects of the return of the festival: “Events this year will hopefully reach into the right hearts and souls and bring fans from far and wide into this beautiful Pendle Valley town. The only way this festival can survive is if you help it to survive by purchasing a ticket. On Behalf of Colne Town Council, Pendle Leisure Trust, Colne Blues Society and the people of Colne I hope you have a wonderful, August Bank Holiday Weekend”.

Grab a ticket while you still can!
