SCOTTISH alt.blues troubadour Dave Arcari’s new single Cherry Wine – which gives listeners the first taste of his lockdown recording project with ‘the Faultlines’ – is set for release via all download/streaming services on Friday 19 March. Until then, it is available to pre-save/pre-order via Dave’s website at
www.davearcari.com
A video for Cherry Wine will accompany the release and will premiere on Arcari’s Youtube, Facebook and InstagramTV channels on release day (Friday 19 March).
“While I’ve worked with other musicians on various recording sessions and projects in the past, I’ve always focussed on performing and touring as a solo artist” says Arcari. “But during lockdown I worked on alternative arrangements for a few of my songs which have been recorded as Dave Arcari & the Faultlines”.
“It’s a mellower approach than my solo performance,” he adds. “The Faultlines is a pretty fluid collective and there’s more recordings along these lines in the bag. If people like it, there’ll be more releases and
possibly an album later in year…and who knows, the Faultlines may even accompany me on some live dates once things return to normal.”
Arcari also plans another solo album for later in 2021.
Arcari has most recently joined Reunion Blues Gig Bags as an official artist, a partnership which sees the premium instrument case manufacturer join Arcari’s list of endorsers
“Dave plays like he got his skin turned inside out and pretty soon my skin was inside out too listening and it was all good. That boy bleeds for you – he a real down deep player and a soul man…”
