Steve Louw Releases New Double Single “Killers” and “Streets of Rain”

Legendary South African blues rock, country, and Americana singer-songwriter and guitarist Steve Louw will release the double single “Killers”/”Streets of Rain” on Friday, 12 July 2024. Both tracks are taken from his highly anticipated third solo album, “Between Time,” set to be released by BFD Records on 6 September 2024. The songs will be available on all streaming platforms.

“Killers,” an intense, guitar-driven track, reflects the chaos of war and was inspired by the early weeks of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Producer Kevin Shirley praises the track, saying, “World-class musicians together, creating art. Capturing those moments and being part of that experience never grows old.”

“Streets of Rain,” featuring the soulful Hammond organ playing of Lachy Doley, addresses themes of loss and personal struggle. Louw describes it as “a song about loss. Although our pain is personal, you are not alone.”

The double album “Between Time” will be available as a 2-CD digipack, double vinyl, and digital format. The album promises a transcendent quality, blending craft and inspiration, featuring guest appearances by Joe Bonamassa and Midnight Oil’s Jim Moginie.

Steve Louw’s return to the music scene has been marked by acclaim, and “Between Time” continues his legacy of heartfelt, powerful music. Pre-orders for the album are available now.
