Bywater Call will broadcast a free livestream concert from Market Hall in Peterborough, Ontario, on Friday 9 October, giving fans around the world a chance to catch the Canadian seven-piece ahead of their return to the UK in early 2027. Presented in association with Volume.com, the show will stream live at 8pm EST, which is 1am UK time, and will remain available to watch on demand for six months.
The concert will feature material from the band’s recently released album Broken Souvenirs, alongside favourites from across their catalogue. The album will form a major part of Bywater Call’s forthcoming European and UK dates, giving the Peterborough livestream an early look at what audiences can expect when the band crosses the Atlantic in January.
The broadcast can be watched free at go.volume.com/4hTJgbR.
‘Broken Souvenirs’ goes live
Broken Souvenirs continues the blend of Southern soul, roots rock, blues and R&B that has become central to Bywater Call’s sound. Led by vocalist Meghan Parnell and guitarist Dave Barnes, the band’s strength has increasingly been built around the interaction between all seven musicians, with keyboards, horns and a powerful rhythm section giving the songs considerable weight on stage.
Blues Matters has previously described Bywater Call as “a must-see act”, highlighting Parnell’s vocals, the band’s powerhouse rhythm section, slide guitar and the impact of its horn section. That live reputation has developed through extensive touring across Europe and North America, with the band playing more than 130 shows across 11 countries during 2025.
The Market Hall performance will also mark Bywater Call’s first collaboration with Volume.com. The music-focused streaming platform has previously worked with artists including Gov’t Mule, Los Lonely Boys, Leftover Salmon, Lettuce and The Revivalists.

A growing international reputation
Alongside Parnell and Barnes, Bywater Call features Bruce McCarthy on drums and percussion, Mike Meusel on bass, Andrew Moljgun on keyboards, Stephen Dyte on trumpet and valve trombone and Julian Nalli on saxophone. The band has now received three consecutive UK Blues Awards nominations for International Act of the Year and has also picked up nominations at the Independent Blues and Canadian Maple Blues Awards.
Their touring history has included three appearances on Joe Bonamassa’s Keeping the Blues Alive cruise, while they have shared stages with artists including Blackberry Smoke, Marcus King, The Black Keys and Warren Haynes Band. Their 2024 studio album Shepherd was named Blues Album of the Year by Classic Rock, while 2025 live album Sunshine further strengthened their reputation as a live band.
That reputation will be on full display this Friday when Live From Market Hall streams worldwide for free. The concert begins at 8pm EST on 9 October, or 1am in the UK, and will remain available on demand for six months afterwards.
