Thorbjorn Risager & The Black Tornado

Saturday, 12th October 2024 @ The Pleasance Theatre

Thorbjorn Risager & The Black Tornado are bringing their energetic blues-rock mix to The Pleasance Theatre. After a busy year with over 100 shows across 20 countries, this Danish blues powerhouse is ready to light up Edinburgh. Their distinctive blend of blues with elements of rock, soul, funk, and New Orleans flair has earned them a loyal fan base across Europe and beyond. With ten albums in the last decade and a signature sound led by Thorbjørn’s soulful vocals and original compositions, they promise a night of music that’s vibrant and full of surprises.

Opening the show will be The Jensen Interceptors, one of the most exciting new blues bands on the UK scene. Led by harmonica ace Gary Martin, they deliver a classic blues set, from Slim Harpo and Muddy Waters covers to their original songs—all with their own unique touch. Expect a night full of raw blues energy that will set the perfect tone for Risager and his band’s powerful performance.
