Time is moving fast and we’re getting close to one of the highlights of our year. The UKBlues Awards 2022 will be presented on 15th May at The Powerhaus (formerly Dingwalls) in Camden, London.
The evening will be hosted by the legend that is Paul Jones, there’ll be live performances by no less than 4 of the Finalists, guest presenters and, of course, the announcements and presentations of those coveted Awards! What a night it’s going to be – and you could be there! Tickets are limited but there are some available right now. To get yours before they all go just click the link below and come and join us for a night celebrating UK Blues!
That’s not all… we’re also planning a UK Blues Fuse event and The UKBlues Challenge!
The UK Blues Fuse events are designed to bring attention to some up and coming bands and The UKBlues Federation, in partnership with The Riverside Rhythm Club, are delighted to present the second UKBlues Fuse event which will take place on 18th June at the prestigious Glasshouse Theatre, Gillingham, Kent.
Headlining the mini festival is singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Will Wilde (who takes the harmonica beyond its blues roots) and his hand picked band. Also on the bill will be Manchester band Ashley Sherlock, power trio Five Points Gang, local band The Zac Schulze Gang and, MC’ing the whole event, Dave Ferra (who will also be playing in the Pavilion Bar during band change overs with special guest Katie Bradley.)
Earlybird tickets will be available until mid-May at just £12, then will be £15.
Another date for your diary is 17th September when we’ll be holding The UKBlues Challenge in Weston-super-Mare! This is the event when we select the artist or band that will go on to represent the UK in the International Blues Challenge in Memphis and the European Blues Challenge in 2023. Full details will be coming soon but, for now, just make sure you have that date in your diary!
There’s a lot more news we’ll be bringing you shortly so look out for that dropping into your mailbox. While you wait though do grab your tickets for both The UKBlues Awards and that Blues Fuse event. We’ll see you there!
