BiGiAM Management and Promotions, the company most associated perhaps with Jo Harman’s successful career, have announced that they have formed a booking agency,  ‘BiGiAM Agency’, with the proclaimed aim of giving a platform to artists at the quality end of the blues, roots and soul community. As principal Mark Ede explained There are a lot of great agencies out there but none I feel who are specifically representing the more elite type of vocalist/songwriters out there in our community who, whilst following in the traditions of the classic artists, are very much their own voice’.

Mark continued ‘We see ourselves as a bespoke agency with a very clear vision and initially we’re working with a handful of artists who we believe underpin our brand. Although very early days, the amount of interest and number of bookings already received is certainly very encouraging. I believe there is a distinct market for quality, timeless, artists of depth and sincerity and that’s the market we endeavour to serve’.

‘Younger guns they may be, but individually all the artists on our books are already making a significant mark in the industry, showcasing the quality end of UK based blues, roots and soul. Award winning Bluesman Connor Selby has already played Wembley Stadium at the behest of The Who, Welsh songbird Laura Evans last 4 singles have been ‘A Listed’ on BBC Radio Wales while fellow valley girl Jade Like The Stone has won public praise from the likes of Jimmy Page and Will.i.am. Roots artist Hollie Rogers has already graced festival stages at Glastonbury, Black Deer, Cornbury Festival and more, whilst Melbourne born Georgia van Etten is currently the fourth most played artist on Blues Radio as well as recently appearing on the prestigious BBC 4 programme Loose Ends’, explained Mark

The entire roster – sans Jo Harman who will continue to work with a number of agents, internationally – will appear at their own night at January Blues Festival the direct invitation of noted programmer/promoter Adrian Gibson, Head of AGMP, when they play London’s legendary 100 Club on Sunday 23rd January. The five artists will appear with a top class band ‘The Company’ who themselves have worked as the road outfit internationally for acts like Lucky Peterson, Grammy Winner Mike Farris, Jo Harman and others.
