Buddy Guy needs ‘no introduction’ indeed, as he has already racked up a list of accolades including, 7 GRAMMY Awards, a 2015 Lifetime Achievement GRAMMY Award, 37 Blues Music Awards (the most any artist has received), the Billboard Magazine Century Award for distinguished artistic achievement, a Kennedy Center Honor, and the Presidential National Medal of Arts. Rolling Stone Magazine ranked him #23 in its “100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time.”

In other news, Buddy played the last show at the B.B. King’s Blues Club and Grill on Times Square. The club closed its doors this week citing rising rents as the reason for closing the popular bar on 42nd street.
