THE COMMONERS RETURN TO THE UK WITH NEW SINGLE JUST WATCH ME

Celebrated Canadian roots rock band The Commoners return to the UK this December for a 10-date headline tour, with special guests Candar, the rising alt-rock duo from North Devon. Tickets are available now from Planet Rock and Commoners.ca.

To coincide with the tour, The Commoners will release their brand-new single “Just Watch Me” on Friday 7 November, available on all streaming platforms.

“Just Watch Me is the moment you stop apologising for the weight on your shoulders and lean into it,” says guitarist Ross Hayes Citrullo. “The main guitar riff feels like a rising charge, before the chorus kicks the doors open, and a jam section that refuses to back down. It’s a statement piece for the stage. We’re looking forward to playing it live on tour.”

The new single is a bold, defiant anthem about ownership, resilience, and stepping into leadership when the moment calls. Its lyrics rally against self-doubt with lines like, “If you think the crown weighs heavy on me, you ain’t been listening…” and “I’m making up a task force, the likes you’ve never seen.”

Musically, “Just Watch Me” blends reflective verses with a soaring, hook-rich chorus and a blistering guitar solo – tailor-made for big rooms and even bigger nights.

North Devon’s Candar join the run as special guests, bringing melodic vocals, gritty guitars, and powerhouse drums. Fresh from two Glastonbury appearances and a sold-out UK and Ireland tour with Bôa in 2024, they’re set to light up the stage every night.

“The UK has become a second home for us,” says bassist Ben Spiller. “Over the last few years, we’ve had the pleasure of rocking dozens of shows over the course of five unforgettable UK tours and festivals.”

The single and December tour arrive hot on the heels of The Commoners – Live in the UK, a 9-track live album capturing the band’s explosive 2024 performances and their ever-growing reputation as one of the most dynamic live acts on the circuit.
