Blazing a trail through the UK blues-rock scene, The Zac Schulze Gang returns with their latest high-energy anthem, I Won’t Do This Anymore. Released on Friday, 7th February, the track is now available to stream on all digital platforms, bringing a raw and rebellious edge to modern blues rock.
A Sound that Packs a Punch
Hailing from Kent, this power trio delivers a raucous mix of 70s blues rock and modern alternative influences, culminating in a track that exudes intensity and attitude. I Won’t Do This Anymore channels the untamed energy of Rory Gallagher with a dose of Huey Lewis and the News’ blues-pop flair. The song explodes with driving bass riffs, crashing drums, and an electrifying guitar-harmonica duel that cements the band’s growing reputation for crafting infectious, high-octane rock anthems.
A Rebellious Anthem for the Working Class
“This song is a rebellion against the big bad bosses of today’s world,” frontman Zac Schulze explains. “The lyrics take me back to when we were mopping McDonald’s floors and stacking supermarket shelves on night shifts. We wanted to channel that frustration and turn it into something powerful.”
The track’s standout harmonica work comes courtesy of Nigel Feist, dubbed the “Mayor of Broadstairs.” Recorded live, his energetic harp lines add a gritty, bluesy authenticity that elevates the song to new heights. “On the second take, we knew we had it,” Schulze recalls. “Nigel is one of the best harp players in Kent, and we’re proud to have him on this track.”
An Unstoppable Rise
I Won’t Do This Anymore follows a whirlwind year of touring, where The Zac Schulze Gang shared stages with Samantha Fish and Eddie 9V, wowing audiences with their raw energy and unfiltered sound. Their April 2025 UK headline tour, culminating in a sold-out show at The Grace in London, is further proof that the band is on a meteoric rise.
Tickets for the tour are available now at www.zacschulzegang.rocks/tour and Alttickets.com.
A Debut Album on the Horizon
Fans can also look forward to the band’s highly anticipated debut album, set for release later in 2025. Working with renowned producer Ian Sadler at Really BIG Audio, the album aims to capture the band’s relentless live energy while refining their signature sound. Sadler’s production on their previous single, Woman, secured 15 consecutive weeks of airplay on Planet Rock, setting the stage for what promises to be a game-changing release.
A Band Built for the Stage
With a relentless work ethic reminiscent of Rory Gallagher, Dr. Feelgood, and AC/DC, The Zac Schulze Gang are proving they belong among blues-rock’s heavyweights. Their festival credentials are equally impressive, having performed at Eric Clapton’s Crossroads Festival in Los Angeles, Planet Rock’s Winter End Festival, and the Rory Gallagher Tribute Festival in Ballyshannon. Their upcoming festival appearances in 2025 include headline slots at the Rory Gallagher Festival in Ballyshannon, Ireland, and the UK’s Broadstairs Blues Bash.
UK Blues Awards Winners
The trio’s relentless gigging and dynamic performances have earned them the title of UK Emerging Artist of the Year at the 2024 UK Blues Awards. Their international fanbase continues to grow, with sold-out shows in the Netherlands, Germany, and London marking their rapid rise in the blues-rock world.
