Parker Barrow Drop Explosive New Single ‘Novocaine’ Ahead of UK Tour

Nashville-based blues-infused Southern rockers Parker Barrow have released their brand-new single Novocaine, just in time for their July UK tour. Out now on all major streaming platforms, the single is also accompanied by a blistering new music video on YouTube.

Following the success of their April release Make It, Novocaine offers a deeper dive into the band’s dynamic and evolving sound—both tracks set to appear on their hotly anticipated sophomore album.

A Rush of Soul and Southern Grit

Novocaine came from an idea Alex, our guitarist, had been carrying for a while,” says drummer and founding member Dylan Turner. “I had some lyrics that didn’t yet have a home, and as soon as I heard the riff, I knew they were a perfect fit.”

The track opens with a soulful Rhodes-style piano before erupting into fierce guitar-driven energy. “Novocaine is full of passion and power,” Turner continues. “It’s the kind of track that leaves you feeling anything but numb.”

Guitarist Alex Bender adds, “Novocaine gave us the chance to explore new song-writing territory while keeping that unmistakable Parker Barrow identity—soaring vocals, heavy drums, expressive solos, and just the right amount of restraint to let each part breathe.”

The solo, performed with a Gibson Les Paul and a Wah pedal, adds even more emotional weight, while the pre-chorus chords add tension and resolve in true blues-rock style.

UK Dates and More on the Horizon

To mark the release, the band are hitting UK stages for a trio of July dates:

  • Nottingham Bodega – July 18
  • The Grace, London – July 19
  • Maid of Stone Festival – July 20

Looking further ahead, Parker Barrow will return to UK shores as special guests on The Damn Truth’s Winter 2025 UK Tour, running from 12–23 November.

Tickets for all shows are available via weareparkerbarrow.com/tour and The Gig Cartel.

Meet the Band

Led by powerhouse vocalist Megan Kane and drummer Dylan Turner, Parker Barrow takes its name from the infamous American outlaws Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow—a fitting moniker for a band unafraid to blaze its own trail.

Since meeting in 2019, Kane and Turner have pursued music full-time, expanding their line-up in 2023 with the addition of guitarist and musical director Alex Bender. They are joined by Bo Howard on bass, Will Tipton on guitar, and Eric Safka on keys.

Their debut album Jukebox Gypsies earned widespread acclaim, and the video for their single Back to Birmingham has clocked over a million views on YouTube.

A Live Act Not to Miss

Whether supporting acts like Robert Jon & the Wreck or The Kentucky Headhunters, or headlining in their own right, Parker Barrow are fast becoming one of the most compelling live bands on the circuit. Known for their extended jams and emotionally charged performances, they bring an old-school energy with a modern edge.

Expect blues, soul, southern rock, and a whole lot of heart when Parker Barrow hit your town. And with Novocaine, they’ve proven once again that their journey is only just beginning.

Stream Novocaine now and catch Parker Barrow live this summer.
