Australian-born, globally celebrated guitarist and singer-songwriter Orianthi is gearing up to release her brand-new studio album Some Kind of Feeling via Woodward Avenue Records. The album will be available digitally on June 27, on CD from August 15, and on vinyl from September 19, and is now available to pre-order at orcd.co/OrianthiSKOF.
The record features a mix of self-produced tracks and collaborations with heavyweight producer Kevin “The Caveman” Shirley, known for his work with legends like Joe Bonamassa, Beth Hart, and Journey. Among the highlights is the blistering new single “Attention”, released on May 16 and accompanied by a full-throttle music video that’s already turning heads on YouTube.
“Attention” is a hard-hitting, emotionally charged power rocker that finds Orianthi at her most defiant and dynamic. Written with Don Miggs and Gregory Hanson, the song’s lyrics take aim at a former flame who just won’t let go—delivered with a confident vocal and underpinned by Orianthi’s trademark searing guitar tone. As she sings “I’m done thinking about you,” it’s clear she means every word.
“Attention” follows a prolific run of singles in 2024, including First Time Blues (a fiery collaboration with Joe Bonamassa), the haunting Ghost, and the title track Some Kind of Feeling. Together, these songs signal a new era of creativity for Orianthi—one that’s brash, bold, and packed with rock and roll grit.

Though her name is often associated with high-profile collaborations—Alice Cooper, Dave Stewart, Richie Sambora, and the late Michael Jackson among them—Some Kind of Feeling is a powerful reminder that Orianthi’s solo career is just as compelling. From her 2009 gold-selling debut Believe to her status as one of the modern guitar greats, she continues to evolve as a songwriter, performer, and guitar icon.
On Some Kind of Feeling, she blends power chords with vulnerability, fire with finesse, and attitude with authenticity. As the album edges closer to release, expect more singles, more guitar fireworks, and a front-row seat to a modern rock heroine fully in her element.
