Tedeschi Trucks Band have announced the release of their sixth studio album, Future Soul, due out on Friday March 20 via Fantasy Records.
The 11-track album is the GRAMMY Award-winning band’s first full studio release since 2022’s I Am The Moon project and follows their recent live album Mad Dogs & Englishmen Revisited. Recorded at the band’s own Swamp Raga Recording studio in Jacksonville, Florida, and Phantom Studios in Gallatin, Tennessee, Future Soul captures the band working as a fully connected unit.
The album was produced by Mike Elizondo and co-produced by Derek Trucks. Songwriting duties were shared across the band, with contributions from Trucks, Susan Tedeschi, Mike Mattison, Gabe Dixon and Tyler Greenwell. Musically, the record draws from funk, rock and roll, blues, soul and punk, without leaning on any single tradition.
To mark the album announcement, the band have released the lead single I Got You. Written by Mike Mattison, the track carries a mid-tempo drive and nods to the loose, soulful feel of Derek and the Dominos and Delaney & Bonnie.

“It feels like the band, but it doesn’t feel like anything we’ve done before,” says Trucks. “That was important to us.”
Future Soul places emphasis on collective performance, with arrangements shaped through full-band collaboration rather than individual showcase moments. The result is a record that reflects where Tedeschi Trucks Band are now, confident, settled, and still willing to take risks.
