Robin Trower Unleashes New Single “One Go Round” Ahead of Album Come And Find Me

British blues legend Robin Trower continues his remarkable creative streak with the release of his brand-new single “One Go Round”, a slow-burning blues number laced with soul, grit, and urgency. The track is taken from his upcoming studio album Come And Find Me, now set for release on 16 May 2025 via Provogue.

“You only get one go round, so try and make the most of it,” says Trower of the song’s central message.

Back on the Road in 2025

Now 80 and still forging new ground, Trower is preparing to hit the road once more after recovering from an operation that forced him to cancel last year’s U.S. tour.

Come And Find Me – A Late-Career Creative High

Tracked over twelve months at Studio 91 in Newbury, Come And Find Me shows no signs of slowing down the man behind Bridge of Sighs. Trower describes One Go Round as one of the most organic songs he’s recorded:

“That was almost an instant finished thing. It was like a hot knife through butter. All the lead work was improvised, and it’s exactly where I live.”

This follows previous single “A Little Bit of Freedom”, which opens with a blast of wah pedal and a call for independent thought. Trower explains, “Too much red tape, not enough freedom to think — it’s got to where you feel straitjacketed.”

Eight Decades In and Still Inspired

A true craftsman, Trower remains driven by the thrill of discovery. Whether writing alone with his Strat and Marshall stack or working with longtime collaborators, each new album is a mission to capture something honest and human.

“I can’t believe it, that I’m still going at 80,” he says. “It’s kind of scary. You know that you’re way down the road, and you could hit a brick wall at any time. But I still love doing this. There’s nothing more rewarding than working on a new song.”

With Chris Taggart on drums, Glenn Letsch on bass (select tracks), and Richard Watts on vocals, Come And Find Me is as personal as it is powerful. Engineered and mixed by Sam Winfield, the album blends swampy grooves, introspective lyrics, and fiery playing into one of Trower’s most focused records in years.
