Produced by Dave Cobb, out August 22 via Journeyman Records
Southern California rockers Robert Jon & The Wreck have officially announced the release of their ninth studio album, Heartbreaks & Last Goodbyes, due out August 22, 2025 via Journeyman Records. The album sees the band collaborate with GRAMMY-winning producer Dave Cobb (Chris Stapleton, Jason Isbell, Rival Sons), marking a bold new chapter in their blues-infused rock ’n’ roll journey.

“Heartbreaks & Last Goodbyes feels like a true reflection of who Robert Jon & The Wreck is as a band,” says frontman Robert Jon Burrison. “Being away from our usual routines, living together, and immersing ourselves in the new songs from start to finish created an album we are incredibly proud of.”
A Creative Turning Point
Recorded in Savannah, Georgia, the album reflects a fresh energy and renewed sense of purpose for the band. For the first time in their career, the group lived onsite at the studio while recording — a move that allowed them to be fully immersed in the creative process without distractions.
“Instead of dealing with LA traffic and squeezing in sessions between other commitments, we got to immerse ourselves fully in the music,” says bassist Warren Murrel. “It was an experience that allowed us to be completely present in the creative process.”
The result is a ten-track album filled with raw honesty, thunderous grooves, and some of the most emotionally resonant songwriting the band has ever delivered. The album was mixed by Greg Gordon, whose credits include Chris Stapleton, Sturgill Simpson, and Jason Isbell.
New Single: “Highway” Out Now
Alongside the album announcement, Robert Jon & The Wreck have released their latest single “Highway”, a soaring mid-tempo rocker packed with blistering twin guitar harmonies and heartfelt lyrics.

“It started as a loose melodic concept on an acoustic guitar in Henry’s apartment and evolved into a full-blown powerhouse,” says Robert. “Cobb helped us elevate the track by pushing the tempo and building out the dynamics.”
“This track hits hard and still gives you the feels—it’s everything we love about rock ’n’ roll,” adds guitarist Henry James.
“Highway” follows a string of recent singles including “Long Gone” (co-written with John Oates), “Ashes in the Snow”, and “Sittin’ Pretty”, each showcasing a different side of the band’s evolving sound.
