Gulf Coast Records will begin 2026 with an intensive nine day run of new single releases, setting the pace for what is shaping up to be the label’s busiest and most ambitious year to date.
From 20 to 30 January, the label will release one new single per day, each track drawn from a different artist and a different full-length album scheduled for release later in the year. The series acts as both a statement of intent and a preview of a packed release calendar that stretches from February through October.
The artists involved reflect the full scope of the Gulf Coast Records roster. The series opens with Garret T. Willie, whose Nashville-rooted blues rock draws on personal family history, before moving through Gabe Stillman’s forward-looking blues, Mike Zito’s long-awaited homecoming record, and Jason Ricci’s raw, stripped-back approach.
Later releases introduce Kelli Baker’s debut album MOTHER, Albert Castiglia’s road-tested British sessions recorded at Abbey Road Studios, Kevin Burt’s return to acoustic blues, and a new stripped-down album from The Boneshakers. The run closes with The Sharpeez, whose Automatic Mode brings British rhythm and blues swagger to the end of the series.
Each single corresponds directly with the order of the albums that will follow across the year. February sees the release of Garret T. Willie’s Bill’s Café, recorded with producer Tom Hambridge. March brings Gabe Stillman’s What Happens Next?, followed in April by Mike Zito’s Outside Or The Eastside, a record more than a decade in the making.
Further releases continue at pace, with Jason Ricci’s 13 Hours in May, Kelli Baker’s MOTHER in June, Albert Castiglia’s Grits & Glory in July, Kevin Burt’s This Trip in August, The Boneshakers’ second stripped-back album in September, and The Sharpeez closing the year in October.
Managing Director Oliver Overton says the label’s focus remains unchanged. “We are not interested in chasing trends or playing it safe. Every one of these records tells a truth. They are made by people who have lived it and earned it.”
The nine day single series begins on 20 January and runs consecutively through to 30 January 2026. Full release details and pre-order information are available at gulfcoastrecords.net.
