Joe Bonamassa Unveils “Still Walking With Me” – A Feel-Good Ode to Resilience and Redemption
Blues-rock powerhouse Joe Bonamassa is back with a brand-new single, “Still Walking With Me”, released today via J&R Adventures. Following the introspective vibe of his previous track “Shake This Ground”, this latest release takes a warmer, more upbeat turn — blending classic blues tones with a heartfelt message of loyalty and gratitude.
Built on a soulful groove and vintage textures, Still Walking With Me feels like an instant classic. Lyrically, Bonamassa walks a line between humility and hope, with lines like “You could’ve left a long time ago… I wouldn’t blame ya” delivering raw honesty in a feel-good package. The song is a tribute to the people who stand by us through thick and thin, wrapped in a melody that lifts the spirit as much as it moves the feet.
The single is co-written with Tom Hambridge (Buddy Guy, ZZ Top, Lynyrd Skynyrd) and produced by long-time collaborator Kevin Shirley, known for his work with Iron Maiden, The Black Crowes, and Journey. It’s the second glimpse into Bonamassa’s forthcoming studio album, expected later this year — an album that promises to push boundaries while staying true to the blues-rock roots that have defined his career.
A Landmark Year for Bonamassa
Still Walking With Me arrives just days after the 10th anniversary edition of Keeping the Blues Alive at Sea, Bonamassa’s sold-out floating blues festival. Sailing from Miami, the cruise featured performances from Big Head Todd and the Monsters, Larkin Poe, Kingfish, Samantha Fish, Joanne Shaw Taylor, and many more — a testament to Bonamassa’s enduring influence and commitment to nurturing the global blues community.
And he’s not slowing down. Next up is an extensive European Spring Tour, followed by a summer run with the legendary Black Country Communion, his supergroup featuring Glenn Hughes, Jason Bonham, and Derek Sherinian. With additional headline shows across Europe — including multiple sold-out dates in Ireland — Bonamassa then returns to the U.S. for a just-announced 2025 summer amphitheatre tour, with stops at iconic venues including Red Rocks and The Greek Theatre.
Still Leading the Way
With over 50 albums, 28 #1 Billboard Blues Albums, and decades of international touring under his belt, Joe Bonamassa continues to blaze trails while championing the blues tradition. Whether he’s on stage, in the studio, or hosting fans on the high seas, his mission remains clear: to keep the blues alive and thriving for generations to come.
