British blues powerhouse Joanne Shaw Taylor is back with big news. The critically acclaimed guitarist and vocalist has announced five UK headline shows in September 2025, coinciding with the release of her hotly anticipated new studio album Black & Gold.

Tour Dates Revealed

Kicking off at Bath Forum on Wednesday 24 September, Joanne’s tour will also visit York Barbican (25 September), Wolverhampton Wulfrun Hall (27 September), Eastbourne Devonshire Park Theatre (28 September), and culminate at London’s prestigious Cadogan Hall on Thursday 9 October.

Tickets go on general sale at 10am on Friday 6 June via Gigantic.com, Planet Rock Tickets, and joanneshawtaylor.com. Fans can get early access through a 48-hour Planet Rock pre-sale starting Wednesday 4 June at 10am.

New Album – Black & Gold

Released on the same day as general ticket sales, Joanne’s new album Black & Gold arrives Friday 6 June via Journeyman Records. Available on vinyl, CD and digital, the record marks a bold new chapter for the artist whose reputation for searing guitar work and heartfelt songwriting continues to grow.

A standout track from the album, Look What I’ve Become, explores the darkness of addiction and the moment of reckoning at a personal crossroads. “This song’s about hitting that crossroads,” says Joanne. “It’s about the moment where you either change everything or disappear. The lyrics came from a very honest place—and I wanted the music to match that intensity.” With its haunting atmosphere and cinematic flair, the track showcases Joanne’s maturing artistry and raw emotional power.

Blazing the Trail

Discovered at just 16 by Eurythmics legend Dave Stewart, Joanne Shaw Taylor has spent the last two decades carving out a space all her own. Her distinct blend of blues, rock, soul, and pop has garnered praise from the likes of Stevie Wonder and Annie Lennox, while her touring schedule and chart success show no signs of slowing down.

The new tour will feature material from Black & Gold, alongside fan favourites from Heavy Soul, Nobody’s Fool, and The Blues Album, which topped Billboard’s Official Blues Album Chart and was named the Most Played Blues Album of 2021 by the Independent Blues Broadcasters Association.

Longtime fans can also look forward to highlights from her back catalogue, including Reckless Heart, The Dirty Truth, Almost Always Never, Diamonds in the Dirt, and White Sugar.
