Carlisle Blues-Rock Festival to co-host the European Blues Awards 2013
We can now confirm that Carlisle Blues-Rock Festival has been chosen to co-host the European Blues Awards 2013 and the winners will be announced over the festival weekend which starts Friday 8th November!
We are delighted with this decision and are very much looking forward to finding out who wins the awards, particularly given that 14 of the nominees are from the UK and two, Ian Siegal and Ryan McGarvey, are actually playing in this years line-up at Carlisle! Another nominee, Blues Matters magazine, will also have a presence at the festival.
The awards comprise of nine categories including a lifetime services to European Blues, a non voted decision and the criteria for nomination is very simple, irrespective of recorded or session material there had to be a live performance or contribution worthy of highest acclaim within Europe during 2013.
