Canadian roots, rock, and soul band Bywater Call has just dropped their new single, “Now and Never,” from their acclaimed third studio album Shepherd. The music video for “Now and Never” was filmed and edited by Gokul Chakravarthy of Uktopia Creations in Washington, DC, during the band’s recent performance at The Hamilton Live, just steps away from the iconic White House.
“Now and Never” is a playful take on those dysfunctional romantic relationships that seem to endlessly loop in confusion, leaving you feeling like you exist in “Always, Now and Never” all at once. The single is filled with infectious energy, featuring powerful horn sections and catchy lyrics. Lead singer Meghan Parnell describes it as “quirky, sexy, and celebratory all at once”—a perfect reflection of the band’s energetic vibe.
The release comes just two weeks before Bywater Call’s second headline UK tour, which kicks off on Wednesday, October 16th, covering 11 cities. The tour also includes a special appearance at Planet Rock’s “Blues Power LIVE” event at Dingwall’s in Camden Market, London, on Friday, October 25th. Curated by blues maestro Bernard Doherty, the show will also feature the soulful sounds of Lauren Housley and the Northern Cowboys, along with rockers These Wicked Rivers.
