Tom Waters and Geoff Achison will tour the UK with their collaborative show Brush With The Blues.
The tour follows a 14-date Australian run in 2025 that drew strong reviews. Now the pair take the project to UK audiences, combining sax-led rhythm and blues with guitar-driven roots music in a show dedicated to the late Jeff Beck.
Waters, a graduate of the Royal Academy of Music, has built an impressive résumé early in his career. He has recorded or performed with The Rolling Stones, Jeff Beck, George Thorogood and Ray Davies, and is a regular member of Jools Holland’s R&B Orchestra.
His debut songwriting album Blowin’ Up featured contributions from Jools Holland, Chanel Haynes, The Cinelli Brothers and Ariel Posen. The record confirmed his position as one of the UK’s most promising sax-led voices in rock and roots music.
Achison, meanwhile, is regarded as a key figure in Australian blues. Mentored by the late Dutch Tilders, he has released 14 albums and developed a style that blends blues, soul, funk and folk. His work has drawn comparisons to Eric Clapton, J.J. Cale and The Allman Brothers Band.
Together, Waters and Achison draw from their own catalogues alongside classic rhythm and blues material. The format places improvisation and musicianship at the centre, with saxophone and guitar sharing equal weight across blues, jazz, funk and roots influences.
The show also carries a tribute element to Jeff Beck, reflecting the pair’s shared respect for guitar-driven blues and its modern evolution.
For audiences interested in high-level musicianship grounded in traditional blues and roots forms, Brush With The Blues offers a rare pairing of two distinct but complementary artists.
