Lions in the Street Drop New Single “Lady Blue” Ahead of Upcoming Album

Canadian rockers Lions in the Street have unleashed their latest single, “Lady Blue”, offering a nostalgic blend of Northern rock with Southern influences. The track, taken from their upcoming album Moving Along, features vintage guitar tones, organ swirls, and a James Burton-inspired solo that evokes the likes of Lynyrd Skynyrd and The Eagles. Vocalist and guitarist Chris Kinnon describes the song as “a classic take on regret and reflection,” setting the tone for the full album, which drops on 8th November 2024.

Formed by brothers Chris and Jeff Kinnon, along with guitarist Sean Casey and bassist Enzo Figliuzzi, the band has had a tumultuous career, surviving the collapse of major record deals and years in relative obscurity. Despite setbacks—including stints as a garbageman and battling cancer—the band persisted, gradually re-entering the music scene with the help of streaming platforms, allowing them to release previously unheard music.

The upcoming album, Moving Along, captures the essence of Lions in the Street’s sound. The title track, mixed by Rick Parker (known for his work with Beck and Black Rebel Motorcycle Club), is set to appear in the Paramount film Cassino In Ischia, starring Dominic Purcell. The album promises to deliver the swagger and vintage rock sound that defines the band, while also incorporating new creative elements as the group gears up for more releases, including a live album and a project with Grammy-winning producer Dave Cobb.

Fans can listen to “Lady Blue” on Spotify and YouTube, and pre-order the album Moving Along ahead of its release in November. With their tenacity and undying commitment to rock ‘n’ roll, Lions in the Street prove they are a force to be reckoned with.
