Samantha Fish is unstoppable in 2024, dropping the Crowd Control (Alternate Version) EP – a three-track collection that reimagines fan favourites “Faster,” “Crowd Control,” and “Better Be Lonely.” Infused with raw energy and electrifying guitar solos, these live renditions, recorded during a video shoot in Nashville, bring new life to the originals. Fish’s commanding stage presence shines through, delivering the untamed essence that has become her signature.
As Fish explains, “Albums let me reinvent myself, but the stage is where the songs come alive. It’s about capturing that raw, unpolished energy.” This EP offers listeners a front-row seat to the power of her live performances.
2024 has been a defining year for Fish, marked by a Grammy nomination for Death Wish Blues, her collaborative album with Jesse Dayton, which topped the Billboard Blues Charts. She’s toured with Slash, opened for The Rolling Stones, and is set to join the Experience Hendrix tour this autumn alongside blues heavyweights like Kenny Wayne Shepherd and Christone “Kingfish” Ingram.
In November, Fish will headline the Ruf Records 30th Anniversary Tour, sharing the stage with blues legends like Canned Heat. With nearly 200 shows a year, Fish continues to captivate audiences, pushing the boundaries of modern blues while honouring its rich roots.
