Bywater Call: Shepherding a New Era of Blues-Infused Rock

Canadian powerhouse Bywater Call is set to electrify the blues world with their third studio album, “Shepherd,” dropping on August 9th. This roots, rock, and soul ensemble continues to push the boundaries of genre, crafting a sound that’s as unique as it is captivating.

“Shepherd” boasts 10 original tracks that showcase the band’s evolution while paying homage to their historical and contemporary influences. From ripping rock tunes to quirky off-beat numbers and soul-stirring ballads, this album promises to be a rollercoaster of emotions – exuberant, rootsy, funky, joyful, and heartbreaking all at once.

ORDER “SHEPHERD” FROM UK & EUROPE HERE

In a bold move, “Shepherd” marks Bywater Call’s first fully self-produced and self-recorded album. It’s a testament to their growing artistic confidence and vision, released with the support of Continental Record Services in Europe.

To celebrate the album’s release, the band is unveiling an official video for “Colours,” a powerful ballad that showcases their emotional depth. Filmed in a dreamy, slow-motion style reminiscent of Coldplay’s “Yellow,” the video perfectly captures the raw emotion of unrequited love and the struggle to let go.

Bywater Call’s live performances are legendary for their dynamism and the exciting interplay between band members, centred around powerful vocals that have drawn comparisons to some of the best female voices in blues and roots today. Their talent hasn’t gone unnoticed – the band was nominated for International Blues Artist of the Year at the UK Blues Awards, alongside winners Larkin Poe.

The band’s work ethic is as impressive as their music. In 2023 alone, they played a staggering 96 shows across 10 countries, including a spot on Joe Bonamassa’s third Keeping the Blues Alive at Sea Mediterranean Cruise.

Blues enthusiasts in the UK have something special to look forward to – Bywater Call will be headlining their second UK tour in October 2024. Dates and details at www.bywatercall.com
