It’s that time of year again where we welcome you to our brand new Blues Matters stage in Hotshots, just off Skyline at the Great British Rock & Blues Festival in Skegness.
Blues Matters stage times and bands are as follows…
Friday 17th January
Catfish – 8 – 9.30pm
UK and British Blues Award-winning band Catfish have carved a reputation for themselves as an excellent live band with a phenomenal frontman in 24-year-old guitarist/vocalist Matt Long, who plays with a real passion for the blues.
Howlin’ Mojo Blues Band – 10.15 – 11.45pm
Howlin’ Mojo Bones are a 4 piece blues band based in North East London. Formed in 2016, the band is making waves on the live circuit with their distinctive, driving, modern blues sound.
Gerry Quigley Band – 12.30 – 2am
Join Gerry Quigley and his band to hear them play his signature style of celtic blues-prog.
Saturday 18th January
Roadhouse Jam – 12.45 – 4pm
Jo Carley & the Old Dry Skulls – 8pm – 9.30pm
This trio play a unique hybrid of early 20th Century music infused with dark Cabaret. Dedicated to the subversive, the world of Jo Carley and the Old Dry Skulls is dark, animated and unusual.
Dana Gillespie – 10.15 – 11.45pm
Multi-Award winning Blues Diva ‘Dana Gillespie’ has been touring the world as the true ambassador of the risqué blues.
Dawson Smith & The Dissenters 12.30 – 2am
Averaging over 100 gigs a year Dawson & The Dissenters are a superb live band, full of energy and passion to showcase their great musicianship.

Roadhouse – 8 – 9.30pm
Roadhouse is one of the UK’s most established blues-rock acts and is lead by acclaimed songwriter, guitar player and singer, Gary Boner.
The Chris Bevington Organisation 10.15 – 11.45pm
Chris Bevington is a bass guitarist of 30 years and hails from Stoke-on-Trent. TCBO have been busy touring Cut & Run.
The Achievers – 12.30 – 2am
UK Blues Challenge winners 2019, The Achievers are one of the most talked about and critically acclaimed bands on the UK blues and roots scene. Expect modern, secular ‘dancefloor-gospel’.
We can’t think of a better way to round off a brilliant weekend of music than to come to Hotshots and hang with these guys. A good time is guaranteed!
