The 13th Annual Rory Gallagher Tribute Concert on Saturday 27th September, Cavern Club in Liverpool. The city is buzzing this year as it is the European capital of culture, so come along and enjoy a great weekend - there's lots to do - and the Rorygig too! As usual profits from the show will be going to children's charity, this year it's for S.P.A.C.E (children with A.D.H.D and associated disorders) we have raised many thousands for children over the years in Rory's name (All bands play for expenses only) a fact in which we are well proud!
Cuckoo Litefoot. The Book

Im a music photographer. Im about to publish a book about the Blues called "Cuckoo Litefoot".
I listen to the blues most days. Robert Johnson. Son House. Lead Belly.

Blues mythology fascinates me. Stories and legends of midnight meetings at lonely crossroads to make a deal with the Devil. To sell your soul for fame and fortune.

Cuckoo Litefoot is the Devil. Mr.P.K.Ripper is a man. A blues man.
Set in the deep south of 1930s America this book darkly depicts their meeting and its outcome for good or evil...

It goes on sale in July £7.99p.
There's a selection of Litefoot images here: www.myspace.com/oldno7brandcom

It had been nearly 20 years since Roger McGuinn had last performed in Spain, but in September 2004 the former Byrds leader and two of his treasured and trusty 12-string guitars made their way to the Basque medieval city of Vitoria-Gasteiz for a special solo set
at the revered Azkena Rock Festival. And for this magical visit, McGuinn fans will be thrilled to learn, the tape was rolling..

Amy Winehouse, Adele and Duffy and now there’s Beth Rowley, who is considered by some to be the best of the lot. Born in Peru and raised in Bristol, the 26 year-old possesses a voice of unmatched purity and expression. Not only that, she also writes songs every bit as good as the jazz and soul standards she covers with such style.

Many are now familiar with Beth’s work from her current single, “So Sublime”, which is getting lots of airplay on radio stations all over the UK and from numerous features in the press..

DAGO RED ON BRITISH BLUES TOUR

13 June 2008 - Top Italian folk & blues band Dago Red will be playing a small number of gigs in Yorkshire and the North East between the 20th and 23rd June in what is their first British Blues Tour.

Dago Red will be holding a workshop at Durham Johnston School as a way to thank the school’s music department for the loan of their double bass; travelling from Italy with a double bass was just too much to arrange, so the band needed to borrow one. As a result, the first gig is a little bit different..
